SOMEWHERE ON A RIVER

DESTINATION-AK   Kachemak Bay From Bishop's Beach
WEATHER

The extreme tide changes in Alaska gives our beaches a variety of personalities and, if you don't watch the tide schedules, you may be dissappointed when you arrive. With a little planning you could receive the surprise of a lifetime.

Low tides provide a vast land of sand, rock, and streams of water draining back to the Bay. The active shoreline seems a mile away. Walking the beach you'll visit tidepool after tidepool. Taking time to explore the pools around and between large rocks will provide on oppurtunity to experience sealife in its environment. If you have patience, you may even be given a thrill to remember forever.
