After the long Winter months fade away, life awakens all around. Grasses start to green, leaves grow on trees and everything comes to life. The struggle to find sufficient nourishment is almost over as our wildlife start the next cycle of life.

Though walks in the outdoors are more comfortable, we must heighten our awareness of the land around. Bear have left their dens and you don't want to stroll in between a mom and her cubs. A more common occurence is an encounter with a moose and her babies.

Speaking of the babies, seeing a recently born baby moose is a treat beyond all other. They are born with these long legs it seems they can never grow into. As they experience their world those first few weeks, they appear as agile as a trained athlete. Winter looms ahead so they seem to eat all day.
