SOMEWHERE ON A RIVER | |||||||
DESTINATION-ALASKA | Anchor River - Kenai Peninsula | ||||||
WEATHER | |||||||
The Anchor River on the Kenai Peninsula north of Homer Alaska is my go to river for flyfishing enjoyment. It's not the most prolithic stream I've fished but it's near home and quite scenic. The upper river has Dolly Vardin, Rainbow Trout, and an occasional Steelhead. I've seen salmon in the river but regulations are pretty tight and only sometimes has a very small window or no window at all. No matter, the reason I fly fish is for the enjoyment of getting out on the river for the sake of being outdoors. |
